10 Selected artists from both countries to highlight and share their work and perspectives as artists living with disabilities with stops across Canada and Korea.
The National accessArts Centre presented by TD Ready Commitment is partnering with the Canada Council for the Arts (CCA), the Korean Foundation for International Culture Exchange (KOFICE), and the Korea Disability Arts and Culture Centre (KDAC) to jointly launch ‘Korea x Canada x Disability Arts: Expanding Boundaries and Possibilities‘, connecting 5 artists with disabilities from the Republic of Korea with 5 artists with disabilities from Canada who will tour with their works in Canmore, Toronto, and Ottawa in late September/early October 2025.
In each stop, the artists will host a series of community roundtables and panel discussions to engage in deeper cultural exchange and connections – and showcase their creativity and insights. Specific dates will be shared in September 2025.
Following their tour across Canada, the artists’ works will be showcased at the newly opened Modu Art Space in the heart of Seoul, Korea as part of a visual arts exhibition commemorating ‘2024-2025 KOREA-CANADA Year of Cultural Exchanges‘.
