July 21, 2022NaAC Pandemic Safety Protocols – Updated March 2023

After careful consideration for the continued need to protect the health of our valued team members, and minimize their risk to COVID and other communicable illness (flu, colds, etc.), we are limiting mandatory masking to our studios only, effective immediately. This means that masks will be optional in our lounge/reception areas, entrances, etc.
- In-Studio ONLY: masks are still required. Before crossing the barrier into the upper studio, or entering the ramp to the lower studio, all people must be masked (still non-woven only).
- Everywhere Else: Including the lounge, entrances, admin offices, etc. masks are optional.
We would like to remind everyone that masks must be non-woven (no fabric masks) and must be worn OVER both the MOUTH & NOSE.
Further to these changes, we will begin encouraging artists to visit with each other in the lounge areas instead of in the studio in order to support those who wish to focus on their art work. Snacks may also be eaten in the lounges and we are asking that any food wrappers, food waste, etc. be returned home.
Complete details of all current protocols and updates can be found in the attached document as well as on our website at https://accessarts.ca/covid/

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS – Updated March 13, 2023.
The safety of our staff is paramount. In the studio, they must work very closely with a lot of people who might have a cold, the flu or even COVID. The mask helps to prevent our staff, and others, from catching these illnesses and having to take time off work so they don’t pass it on to anyone else.
Of course! Masks MUST be worn inside the studio but it is up to you if you want to wear your mask anywhere else. If you need to take a break from your mask, you can go into the lounge area.
No. Only non-woven masks, such as surgical masks or KF94 or KN95 masks should be worn.
Only those artists who attend all day may bring their lunch to the NaAC. From 12pm – 1pm, our full day artists will eat lunch in the lounge. During your session, artists may each a snack in the lounge (from 10am – noon or from 1pm-3pm).
If you don’t feel well, or have a cough, runny nose, or sore throat, please say home! If you visit the NaAC while you are sick, it might make others sick as well.
Yes. All registered artists will continue to be billed for all spots they are registered to. In-person session spots are billed for the day/time you attend in-person and Zoom sessions are unlimited and only billed as one spot.
Absolutely! We would love to have you back in the studio. Please contact Kylie at kylie.poppe@accessarts.ca if you wish to return to in-person studio time.
