Program description.

NaAC Studio Visits are our way of creating new opportunities for NaAC artists to engage in creative conversations with other practicing artists from the comfort of our homes. Participating presenters will walk us through their studio practice, methods, materials, inspirations, and everything in-between. Studio Visits will be an hour in length and take place online via Zoom. Conversations will be casual, and NaAC artists are encouraged to ask as many questions as they would like!

No additional fees are required to join the tours.

If you are interested in attending, please register by Thursday, February 25th 2021.

Studio Visit with John F. GerrardArtist biography

I am a multidisciplinary artist with a focus on visual art. In my teens and 20s, I channeled my creativity as a musician, touring across North America and playing music locally. During this time, I got my feet wet with visual art, doing graphic design work for bands and small businesses. I went to ACAD intending to pursue a degree in design but became obsessed with creating art using charcoal and paint. I majored in drawing at ACAD and then went to work at a commercial sign company. In 2016 I left to pursue art full-time. In 2018 I was trained by the Canadian Mental Health Association as a peer support worker.
