Call for Applications – Lurking Above

In partnership with the National accessArts Centre, curator Ash B invites artists in all stages of their career to apply for the group exhibition, Lurking Above

About the Exhibition

Lurking Above explores the experience of communication. When a voice doesn’t fit societal norms, communication can become an isolating experience. This exhibition highlights the stories, celebrations, and challenges around the differences and intersections of how we communicate.

This exhibition welcomes artists who:

  • Work in drawing, painting, sculpture, craft, fibre, ceramics, or video media.
  • Are 18 years of age or older.
  • Are in any stage of their career.

Note: Priority will be given to artists working in Calgary and surrounding areas.

Submissions open September 5th, 2025
Deadline to apply is November 20th, 2025
Applicants will be contacted by December 11th, 2025
Exhibition opens February-May 2026 (exact dates TBD)
