Instrument Workshop & Drawing
Join NaAC Artist Ambassadors and Studio Facilitators to play with some free-style drawing in the studio.
We will also be exploring digital music with some fun instrument demos. We are excited to share about our upcoming digital music project, and we are looking to find some interested artists. Any and all interested artists are right for our music programming! There is no need to have a musical background, just an interest in making sounds come alive in creative and playful ways. Join Clayton and Carlos to explore the fun world of digital music.
Sound Fusion: Welcome to the wonderful world of digital synthesizers! Synthesizers are incredible instruments that create all kinds of different sounds. You’ll be able to play around with different synthesizers while our facilitators guide you through different ways of creating bizarre sounds.
Simple Sampling: Let’s make some audio live audio clips! New music technology makes recording and sampling live sounds easier than ever. We’ll show you how to use sounds from around our studio to create fun rhythms, textures, and effects.
Computer Age: We can make some wild-sounding audio effects using computers! After we’ve recorded sounds to our computer, we’ll show you how simple sounds can morph into audio magic.
HEALTH & SAFETY PROTOCOLS
The health and safety of all remains one of our top priorities at the NaAC. As we operate out of a city-owned building all visitors are required to wear a mask before entering our facility. Visitors will be asked to answer some health check questions upon arrival and our staff will be on hand to maintain a sanitized and safely distanced environment. For complete information about appropriate masks and other safety protocols, please visit our COVID 19 web page here or simply download our Safety Protocols document here.
