NaAC Songwriters: Groove to the Rhythm

The NaAC is excited to introduce Songwriters, a series of Music Community Classes for all artists interested in creating their own music. Whether you want to create your own songs, perform, connect to community through music, or learn about songs you love, Songwriters is designed to guide artists through all aspects of accessible music-making.

Our first group of workshops focus on Groove and Rhythm – the foundation of every hit song!

With no music experience required, this eight-week workshop will introduce participants to many easy ways of creating grooves, drum beats, and exploring rhythm in fun ways. Artists will be introduced to movement & rhythm exercises, group drumming, digital instruments, and other accessible tools used to create original beats. By the end of the program, each participating artist will have new music skills and an original rhythm track to use in future Songwriters series.

Songwriters is for people 18 years old and older and open to mixed ability participants.
