National accessArts Centre announces major corporate sponsorship from the TD Bank Group

TD quadruples its sponsorship of NaAC’s programs for 2025 – making it the largest investment to advancing the disability arts in Canada

The National accessArts Centre announced today that TD Bank Group is quadrupling its corporate sponsorship in support of Canada’s largest disability arts organization, from $100,000 to $400,000 for 2025. This landmark funding – the biggest donation to disability arts in Canada – is made possible by the TD Ready Commitment, the bank’s corporate citizenship platform. TD initially signed on as a Supporting Sponsor in 2021, and with today’s announcement, the NaAC will be updating its branding to become the National accessArts Centre presented by TD Ready Commitment.

“We are tremendously excited about this announcement today. With this support, the National accessArts Centre presented by TD Ready Commitment (NaAC) will continue to broaden its programs in support of Canadians artists living with neurodevelopmental and/or physical disabilities. Since their initial sponsorship in 2021, the NaAC has quickly become a global pioneer in amplifying the voices of the disability community through the power of the arts. At the same time, we have connected our participating artists to over $1 million in artist fees and commissioning opportunities, positioning artists with disabilities at the heart of Canada’s growing creative economy.” – Jung-Suk (JS) Ryu

“We’re so proud to help the NaAC expand their pioneering programming, providing a platform for more artists with disabilities to learn, thrive and be seen as extraordinary creators,” said Robert Ghazal, Senior Vice President and Alberta Region Head, TD Bank Group. “Through the TD Ready Commitment, our corporate citizenship platform, we’re supporting organizations focused on increasing arts and culture initiatives that reflect and amplify new, underrepresented and diverse voices.”

The announcement was marked by a visit from local/regional TD executives at the NaAC’s current Visual Arts Studios in Calgary. Funding will support programs at the NaAC Visual Arts Studios in Calgary and the NaAC Won Lee Arts Hub in Toronto.
