Stop Motion Animation Community Class

Turn your art into movement! In this class, participants will learn the basics of animation using stop motion filmmaking and develop their very own short animated video. The stop motion technique uses photography to create animated movement from still objects. Participants will watch examples and brainstorm their own ideas. Artists can choose between working in 2D (paper, paint, or fabric) or 3D (clay, figurines, Lego, puppets, objects) and will be lead through the production process from storyboarding to editing. This class is perfect for visual artists who want to explore turning their art into moving images!

ASL interpretation available upon request.

This class is for people 18 years old and older and open to mixed ability participants.
