Daffodils reflect a lot of love and hope, and I wanted to bring those into my artwork – especially when we could use a new start after the pandemic. My artwork usually focuses on landscapes and nature. It’s calming to be surrounded by nature; this is one way I can imagine myself there. If I’m not using images to paint from, I imagine myself somewhere special and just go to work.
