ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP:

This six-week summer workshop series invites participants to tell their stories through vibrant African textiles. Through fabric collage, we’ll explore identity, memory, and culture in a creative space designed for healing, expression, and connection.

Virtual participation via Zoom is available upon request.

Please confirm access needs, including ASL-English interpretation, by contacting Karen at kaugustine@accessarts.ca.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:

Apanaki Temitayo (she/her) is a multidisciplinary fibre artist, art facilitator, and mental health advocate whose work is deeply rooted in her Trinidadian heritage and spirituality. Her workshops use art as a vehicle for storytelling, healing, and reclaiming ancestral memory — especially within marginalized and neurodiverse communities.
