Weekly on Tuesdays

Who likes to party? Come join us in celebration of movement and community! In this 2-hour class, you will learn social and partner dances, including Latin and line dancing, freestyle, hip-hop party moves, and explore personal expression. This class also connects visual art with movement, offering a unique and creative experience. Each two-hour session will include: 

– Movement
– Welcoming Opening Circle and Warm-up
– Explore Accessible Style-Specific Concepts, Movements, and Improvisations
– Move Around and Across the Floor
– Closing Circle
– Visual Art Exploration
– Connection and Socialization
– Breaks

Participation is encouraged in a way that feels most comfortable, and this may vary each week.

At the end of the session, we will celebrate! Dancers will choose the theme and decorate the space, creating a unique and festive atmosphere for their final celebration on November 26th!

Prioritizing access and inclusivity, Community Dance Classes at the NaAC are for dancers 18 years and older, from all skills, genders, and backgrounds. All movement variations and abilities are welcome.

When: Tuesdays, September 10th – November 26th (12 Weeks) 
1pm – 3pm (Dancers can arrive at DJD as early as 12:30pm)
Where: Decidedly Jazz Danceworks, Studio 3
Cost: $300.00* ($25.00 per class. Includes the cost of materials)

*Deposit of $150.00 required upon registration. Full balance due within 30 days of registration, or by class start date (whichever is sooner).
