Yunsun Lee

The pandemic was a very isolating experience. We lived in a new world, and isolation kept each other safe while we waited and hoped for everything to return to being safe again. Unlike pandemic life on earth, my sea creatures enjoy swimming in happiness without worry or care. It’s a hopeful thought.  

The background is layered with various colours to express my hopes and dreams for a future without boundaries. My sea creatures wear vivid colours with different lines inspired by stained glass art. I used multiple line drawing techniques for different creatures to accentuate specific characteristics
