CALGARY – The Board of Directors of the National accessArts Centre (NaAC) has unanimously ratified the appointment of Karly Mortimer as President and CEO, effective January 2, 2023. During her upcoming maternity leave, the Board has also simultaneously appointed Raewyn Reid as Interim President and CEO, effective the same date.
“This is a strong signal from our board that we aspire to promote from within. Karly has demonstrated effective leadership and vision as our Vice President of Artist and Program Development, and I know that our organization’s bold ambition and growth will continue with her new appointment.
We are equally excited to appoint Raewyn Reid as our Interim President and CEO during Karly’s maternity leave. They have also demonstrated a tremendous passion for our community of artists as our Manager, Visual Arts Studio and our Interim Director, Artist Development. These appointments have been made following the Board’s announcement that current President and CEO JS Ryu will be stepping down to pursue another opportunity at the end of December 2023.
