Performing Art Programs

The NaAC’s performing arts division is a new addition to our mandate as a result of our acquisition of celebrated mixed ability dance company Momo Movement.

Style Specific Community Classes

Prioritizing access and inclusivity, Community Dance Classes at the NaAC are created for dancers 18 years of age and older from all skills, genders and backgrounds. Inspired by styles like Hip Hop, Jazz, and Musical Theatre, dance classes at the NaAC are a great way to express yourself, find joy, laugh, try something new and be with the community. During each class, we improvise and focus on building skills in a way that caters to each individual and their access needs. With mixed-ability facilitation, the NaAC continues to pave the way for our artists to become the movers and performers they dream to be. No experience is required, and all movement abilities and variations are welcome to attend.

Professional Ensemble

The NaAC Dance Ensemble (formerly part of Momo Movement) continues to push the boundaries conceptually and physically. Through live and film performances, the Ensemble presents their work in multidisciplinary forms that include spoken word, visual art and movement. With over 10 years of experience, this collective continues to create original work showcasing the collaborative vision and practice of an all disability-represented ensemble.

Dancers are welcome to wear clean, non-marking running shoes, socks or bare feet for dance classes. We would like to extend a reminder that there may be mobility devices and wheels moving in the space as well.
