Welcome Ken Regan, Interim Chair

The National accessArts Centre welcomes Ken Regan as Interim Chair of the Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Ken Regan (Edmonton, AB) as its Interim Chair, effective June 28, 2022, until a permanent Chair is found through a public recruitment process. This appointment follows the departure of Robert Roach (Calgary, AB) who resigned from the Board for personal reasons and most recently served as Chair from 2021 to 2022.

Ken Regan is a journalist, music and arts advocate, and former CEO of the CKUA Radio Network, Canada’s oldest public broadcaster and most successful community-funded broadcaster. During 18 years at the helm of CKUA, Ken helped bring CKUA from the brink of bankruptcy in 1999 to self-sufficiency and financial sustainability. In 2012, he successfully capped an 8-year effort to secure a much needed new home for CKUA, with the development of a $20 million state of the art broadcast facility at the gateway to Edmonton’s downtown arts district. He has served on the NaAC Board of Directors since 2020.

As the NaAC continues its ambitious growth to connect our artist community with more world-class training, creation, and presentation opportunities, the organization will greatly benefit from Ken’s extensive experience and knowledge.
